Scene I:

Friends talking while waiting in line for lunch.

Girl with SE: approaches peers, excited. Hey guys!  Like my earrings?

Girl has sticker earrings.

One Girl: Awkward look to girl with SE, awkward looks to each other, subtle irritation Ugh…..yeah.

Another Girl:Interesting.  Hm…

Other Girl: Did you have to get your ears pierced?

Girl with SE: Um, yeah. Thinking……yeah they might be on to me.. What’s for lunch?

Girls: Take their trays and go find a seat.  Quietly conversating.

Girl with SE: Still getting her food, and goes to get something to drink from the beverage area.

Girl with SE: Walks up to the other girls Can I sit here?

Girl: No.  This seat is taken.

Other girl: Yeah.  We have….a person?….coming to sit there.

Another girl: quiet.  Does not say anything, but looks a little uncomfortable.

Narrator:

What’s going on here?

Why is she lying?

(for attention)

What can she do for attention that works?

UNFREEZE and REWIND!
